Watson Family Vineyards Cabernet – Merlot 2018

72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. The nose shows primary Cabernet Sauvignon characters of black olive, raspberry and blackberry mixed with Petit Verdot characters of briar patch and traces of blood orange. The palate displays a variety of ripe red and dark berry fruits, and finishes with dry gravelly tannins.
This wine is sourced from established vineyards within the Wilyabrup Valley region of Margaret River. Once harvested, the fruit was gently destemmed and passed over a vibrating sorting table. Following fermentation this wine was matured in French oak barrels for 12 months.

Delivery Note
This wine is very deep crimson colour. The nose shows an array of mulberry, blackcurrant and cassis, with hints of Ceylon cinnamon and French oak. The palate is soft and generous, with more red fruits mixing with spice and dark chocolate. Supple tannins linger.
