This wine was sourced from two vineyard locations. The first is located to the south of Margaret River, which produces very elegant aromatic Shiraz fruit. The second vineyard was from a plot of 40 year old dry grown vines in the heart of the Wilyabrup Valley.

The nose of this wine shows an aromatic display of red and dark berry fruits. Ripe, plump, but medium bodied – this wine bursts with a combination of red berry fruits, white spice and toasty oak notes.

Generously constructed, rich and fine – this wine will be best enjoyed over the next 5 years.

This wine is sourced from established vineyards within the Wilyabrup Valley region of Margaret River. Once harvested, the fruit was gently destemmed and passed over a vibrating sorting table. Following fermentation this wine was matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. The nose shows primary Cabernet Sauvignon characters of black olive, raspberry and blackberry mixed with Petit Verdot characters of briar patch and traces of blood orange. The palate displays a variety of ripe red and dark berry fruits, and finishes with dry gravelly tannins.

After establishing Woodlands, the Watsons introduced the Watson Family Vineyards range which aims to produce elegant expressions of the Margaret River region, with wine styles that include the classics Shiraz, Cabernet Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, to emerging varieties such as Nebbiolo. Each wine is carefully produced and blended to be in a beautiful refreshing style that is a pleasure to drink now.

Delivery Note

This wine is very deep crimson colour. The nose shows an array of mulberry, blackcurrant and cassis, with hints of Ceylon cinnamon and French oak. The palate is soft and generous, with more red fruits mixing with spice and dark chocolate. Supple tannins linger.
