Description:
Balan Grion’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a single-varietal red wine produced in the Veneto IGT region of northeastern Italy. The grapes are sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards with low yields to ensure concentration and quality. After harvest, the wine undergoes traditional fermentation in cement tanks, preserving the varietal’s integrity and enhancing purity of flavor.
The wine is then aged for at least six months in French oak barriques, with approximately one-third being new, allowing for gentle oak integration without overwhelming the fruit. This aging process contributes structure, complexity, and subtle notes of vanilla and spice.
Sommelier Notes, Rating/Awards & Food Pairings Suggestions
“Unripe red berry, granite, earthy. Very smooth; full mouthfeel.”
“Not a Napa Cab but really good. Surprised at how different it is. Subtle tannins, red fruit with hints of granite.”
