Château Carbonneau La Franc Touch is an organic red wine crafted entirely from Cabernet Franc grapes grown in clay-limestone soils in the Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux region. Harvesting is done by hand in the early morning to preserve freshness, and fermentation includes a cold maceration phase with a portion of whole-bunch grapes. Indigenous yeasts are used for a natural fermentation process, and the wine is aged for 4 to 6 months in neutral French oak barrels to maintain varietal purity. The production is small, with only around 4,000 bottles made per vintage, reflecting a boutique, artisanal approach. The wine is unfiltered and bottled on-site at the estate, which follows organic and sustainable viticultural practices.

Winemaking Process:
5-day maceration to extract fruit and spices without moving the grapes. Wild yeast fermentation. Low temperature fermentation (24-26°C) with minimal intervention on the wine. 4 to 5 months in old French barrels to add length and complexity to the wine.

In the glass, La Franc Touch reveals a bright ruby hue and expressive aromatics. The nose is perfumed with fresh red berries such as raspberry and red currant, complemented by floral violet notes, hints of mint, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and silky, with vibrant acidity and soft, integrated tannins. Flavors of juicy plum, ripe raspberries, and red cherry are layered with earthy undertones, pepper, and a light mineral finish. Gentle oak aging adds just a touch of structure and roundness, without overshadowing the wine's fresh, fruit-driven character. It finishes clean and elegant, making it versatile with food—from grilled meats and vegetable stews to spiced dishes and firm cheeses.
