Château Carbonneau Margot White 2022 is a refined, organic Sauvignon Blanc from the Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux appellation in southwest France. Crafted by the Franc de Ferrière family, who have a New Zealand heritage, this wine embodies their commitment to producing fresh, crisp, and fruit-forward white wine.
Grape Composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Winemaking Process: Early morning harvest, direct press. Low temperature fermentation (16-18°C). Lee stirring during 30 days after alcoholic fermentation. This will provide body to the wine to balance acidity level.
Tasting Notes:
The appearance of the wine is Pale straw with silver highlights. It has an aroma of Grapefruit, Granny Smith apple, passionfruit, and minerality. It is Juicy and lightly tropical with intense citrus flavors; elegant and long finish in the palate.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs beautifully with creamy white fish fillets, pan-fried squid rings, or oysters from Oléron.
