Herdade do Peso Colheita is a red wine produced with red grapes of Alicante Bouschet, Syrah and Touriga Nacional from the Alentejo wine region. After the fermentation process, in stainless steel tanks, the wine is macerated for 12 days and after that stays in used French oaks for 12 months. It was lightly filtered before bottling.

Herdade do Peso Colheita is a red wine that expresses all the authenticity and passion of the Vidigueira region. On the nose, it presents notes of forest fruits, red fruits, and spices. In the mouth, you can find very present and elegant tannins with a balanced acidity that provides a long finish.

About Herdade do Peso

Herdade do Peso is located in Pedrogão within the Vidígueira commune – a name recognised for its abundance of grape vines, such is the importance of this agriculture in this region. Herdade do Peso occupies a total area of 457 hectares. 160 hectares are currently planted and include 152 acres of red grapes (Aragonês, Trincadeira Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto and Touriga Nacional) and only eight hectares of white grapes (Antão Vaz and Arinto). Both current and contemporary, Herdade do Peso offers varying levels of style and complexity, from celebrated blended wines to the single grape varietals.
