The Spanish Earl Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a tribute to Juan del Águila, a Spanish noble who fought alongside Irish forces at the historic Battle of Kinsale in 1601. Crafted by the Kinsale Spirit Company in County Cork, Ireland, this whiskey embodies a blend of rich history and innovative distillation. Triple-distilled and triple-casked, it begins its maturation in ex-Bourbon casks for nearly four years. Subsequently, the whiskey is divided, with one portion aged in ex-Imperial stout casks and another in ex-aged Jamaican rum casks. After at least three months, the two expressions are recombined and bottled at 43% ABV. This meticulous process imparts a unique character, combining the deep flavors of stout and the sweetness of rum.
