Glenfarclas 15 Years occupies a central position within the core range, featuring the distinguished dark glass characteristic of the higher-end expressions, although there are several expressions beyond it. It undergoes maturation in sherry casks, as expected. However, it boasts a surprisingly light color for a Glenfarclas whisky.

Tasting Note

Nose: Supery fruity - orchard and red fruits in particular. Sweet with a hint of alcohol and no smoke.

Palate: A mild burn up fron is quickly overtaken by tons of orchard fruit, especially yellow nectarines and apricots. Mouthfeel is silky and medium-bodied.

Finish: Slight oak astringency, long with some char in the background.

Overall, very fruity through and through, nice sweet-heat balance between flavor and proof. A pleasant, light sipper with a great mouthfeel.
