“Pinot Noir most probably arrived in Alto Adige two centuries ago. Today the area could be considered a sort of “Grand Cru” for Pinot Nero, as it consistently provides worldwide drinkers with world-class wines. Vineyards are often on the hillsides in sandy gravelly soil, ensuring that water drains well and the vines are not often stressed, something that is important for delicate Pinot Nero vines. Our Bollini features lovely fruit and great backbone with good persistence.”

VINIFICATION AND AGING
Aged 12-18 months in barrique and 6 months in bottle.
TASTING NOTES
Light ruby red in color, with a bouquet of cherries and spice. On the palate, the elegant fruit is well integrated with the spicy notes from the oak, and sweet toasted nuances. Good length, medium body, distinct elegance and finesse.
Serve lightly chilled at 16-18C with pasta and red meat. Certified vegan-friendly.

About Bollini
The story of Bollini began in 1979, when Neil and Maria Empson – who pioneered Italy’s quality wine exports a decade earlier – created their own label from the Alpine foothills of Friuli and Trentino. Their purpose was to showcase the excellence and consistency of noble international varieties in the cool northeastern regions of Italy, while maintaining accessible price points.
The Empsons have always relied on teams of top professionals and two state-of-the-art wineries, one in each appellation. Prime, hillside locations, ideal day/night temperature swings, and the complexity and minerality that come from alluvial geo-history, all contribute to achieving concentrated, highly extracted fruit. Vinified to the strictest quality standards, the wines are the perfect example of the Empson criteria for excellence.
