Proudly offered at 46.6% ABV, this Small Batch Single Malt from Strathearn has matured in the finest European oak and ex-Sherry casks, resulting in a soft and mellow style with rich red fruit notes and a subtle sweetness. Distilled in 2013 and 2014, this surprisingly mature Single Malt joined the Douglas Laing family in October 2019 and aligns with our approach of offering Small Batch bottlings at 46.6% ABV, without coloring or chill-filtration. A balanced, dry oak flavor with hints of caramel and vanilla, followed by a taste of leather, red fruits, and cocoa. The finish lingers with notes of butterscotch, honeyed barley, and oat biscuits.
