Chateau du Chatelard Cuvee Vieilles Vignes Bourgogne Blanc
Produced by Château du Chatelard in the Beaujolais/Burgundy‑style white wine tradition, this Bourgogne Blanc is made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from ancient, up to 95-year-old vines planted on clay‑limestone soils in Lancié. The grapes are hand‑harvested, whole‑cluster pressed, and vinified in temperature‑controlled vats to preserve fresh aromas. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged 6–8 months on fine lees, including 20% in oak barrels, to build richness while retaining vibrancy.
Food Pairing & Serving Suggestions
Best served around 10–12 °C. Elegant yet approachable, this Bourgogne Blanc complements seafood (especially shellfish), creamy fish dishes, poultry, and mildly aged cheeses. It’s equally suited for aperitifs or paired with richer dishes like frog legs, curry, or creamy stews
