Chateau du Chatelard Cuvee Vieilles Vignes Bourgogne Blanc

S$45.90 S$68.00

Produced by Château du Chatelard in the Beaujolais/Burgundy‑style white wine tradition, this Bourgogne Blanc is made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from ancient, up to 95-year-old vines planted on clay‑limestone soils in Lancié. The grapes are hand‑harvested, whole‑cluster pressed, and vinified in temperature‑controlled vats to preserve fresh aromas. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged 6–8 months on fine lees, including 20% in oak barrels, to build richness while retaining vibrancy.

The wine displays a radiant pale gold hue with silver highlights. On the nose, expect an aromatic medley of ripe fruit—melon, peach, and lemon—interwoven with subtle curry and spice tones . The palate is clean yet generous, showing white stone fruits, citrus zest, and delicate toasted or grilled nuances. The texture is robust and well‑balanced, with a lingering finish marked by candied notes and gentle creaminess from lees ageing .
