The Girvan 15 Years from Douglas Laing has a natural sweetness being immediately apparent — beyond which , anticipate all forms of varying and wonderful spices mixed with muscovado demerara and crunched with white sugars. As the Grain ages further, its vanilla heart is massively enhanced, carrying an incredible toffee’d olfactory experience, with a delightfully chewy mouthfeel and a palate bursting with flavours.

Combining the skills of the distiller’s time-honoured craft with the million and one little idiosyncrasies bestowed by each stave of oak as the Whisky is maturing, every Old Particular Single Grain bottling is a marvel in its own right – and truly unique.

Tasting Note

NOSE: Butterscotch-soaked sticky toffee pudding, hints of hazelnut praline and milk chocolate.

PALATE: Biscuits abound with custard creams and ginger snaps alongside a soft orange note.

FINISH: Caramelised stem ginger brings sweet and spicy together with hints of burnt matches. (DGB)
